Full Sail Named to List of "Top 50 Undergraduate Game Design Programs"

The Princeton Review and GamePro magazine recently released the list

Full Sail was recently recognized as having one of the Top 50 Undergraduate Game Design Programs in a study conducted by the Princeton Review and GamePro magazine.

The organizations examined 500 different gaming programs across North America, and selected the final list based on a survey of administrators working at colleges teaching game design curriculum. The survey was made up of over 50 questions that covered academics and faculty credentials, as well as alumni employment and career achievements. The top colleges were determined by quality of the curriculum, faculty, facilities, and infrastructure.

“We salute Full Sail University and the other outstanding institutions on our list for their exemplary work in game design education,” said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review SVP/Publisher. “It has long been our mission at The Princeton Review to help students research and get into the education programs best for them. For the burgeoning numbers of students aspiring to careers in the rapidly growing field of game design and the companies that will need their creative talents, we hope our list will inspire many wonderful candidates to apply to these programs.”

The complete list of colleges appears in the 2010 April issue of GamePro magazine, as well as on the Princeton Review website – among the country’s most widely known education services. GamePro was founded in 1989, and continues to be a respected source of news and criticism for the gaming industry, making this a special recognition for our staff.

“It is a great honor to be recognized,” said Rob Catto, Program Director of Game Studies and Math. “This goes to show how much time and dedication goes into building the precise curriculum to teach our students how to prepare for a creative and competitive career in the gaming industry.”
