Students at Full Sail University have always benefited from the extensive industry experience that our instructors offer. Here's a small sampling of the instructors teaching this degree program.
Since 2003, Matthew has been working as an animator for television shows like Jimmy Neutron, Hermie and Friends, and Jessie D and Me, as well as a number of commercials, including spots for Lunchables and E-Surance. In 2010, Matthew moved back to Florida to join the Game Art Degree Program, and he has also established a successful freelance business as a 2D/3D animator for Central Florida clients under the studio name ”Hummingbird and The Lotus Animation.”
After graduating from Full Sail in 2000, David began his career with an outsourcing studio where his work in the production pipeline on games for Turbine, Sony, LucasArts and others included everything from modeling and texturing to animation and rendering. He then moved to n-Space, where he worked as a character artist for several Nintendo DS titles including Toy Story 3, Aaron Stone, and a Wii title, Winter. In 2010, David worked at EA–Tiburon, updating and optimizing characters and environments for Madden NFL 11 for the PS3 and Xbox360. Along with teaching courses at Full Sail, David continues to work as a freelance character artist.
Jeff worked in the video game industry following his graduation from Full Sail’s Computer Animation program, with credits that include such titles as 50 Cent: Bulletproof, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, Secret Agent Clank, and Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier. In addition to his teaching role at Full Sail, Jeff also co-founded and is currently Art Director for 24 Caret Games, LLC, which developed the Playstation 3 game Retro/Grade. Jeff has also written tutorials on Alias/Autodesk Maya about Unreal importing/exporting, normal mapping, and creating lightmaps with Mental Ray.
After graduating from Full Sail in 1999, Mike began his career at Walt Disney Animation Studios where he contributed to such films as Lilo & Stitch and Brother Bear. Pursuing his interests in animation and interactive entertainment, Mike has transitioned into game development and he has been credited on such titles as Halo 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 as well as the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and Call of Duty franchises. Along with his responsibilities at Full Sail, Mike currently works as a freelance animator and game developer for a variety of clients.
