Susan Albershardt

Susan Albershardt

Susan has more than 30 years experience in acting, writing, producing, directing and managing projects in film, television, advertising, theme parks, and live production. Some highlights include working as a story assistant for Glen Larson Productions on primetime TV series such as The Fall Guy, Knightrider, and Automan. At Sony Pictures Entertainment, she worked on the feature films First Knight, The Professional, and El Mariachi. Susan also served as Florida’s State Film Commissioner and was successful in passing several bills related to Florida’s entertainment industry. She has a BA in Organizational Communication from Rollins College and an MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business.

Ben Urish

Popular Culture in Media

Dr. Urish’s doctorate is in American Culture Studies from Bowling Green State University and his MA is in Cultural Anthropology, which he earned at Wichita State University. Popular culture and mass-mediated entertainment – notably popular music, film, and humor – have been the topics of much of Dr. Urish’s work. In addition to creating a number of experimental and documentary film, Dr. Urish’s publications include a book on John Lennon’s non-Beatles recordings. He was given the C.W.M. Hart Award For Outstanding Contributions to Anthropology for his editing and abridging of Leslie White’s unfinished book Modern Capitalist Culture.

Kip Roddenberry

Entertainment Business and Entrepreneurship

Kip has a 35-year record of accomplishment as an entrepreneur in the entertainment industry. He has produced, directed, and managed over 2,500 events in over 50 countries worldwide. Kip was instrumental in several successful start-up businesses including NORTRAV Events, an international special events and conference planning company, and Vintage Airways, a wholly owned subsidiary of Virgin Atlantic Airways. Kip has held executive positions with NASCAR, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Blenheim Expositions, and Palladeno Enterprises. As the former Director of Special Activities for NASCAR, Kip produced and directed over 1,000 events.

Carol Wonsavage

Carol Wonsavage

Entertainment Business Models

Carol has held various management positions in production, programming, marketing, government relations, and corporate relations/PR at TV stations in cities including Washington, DC, Baltimore, Orlando, Denver, and Charlotte. Most recently, she was Director of Broadcasting at WMFE, Orlando. She has taught at UCF and Pennsylvania State University.
