Art Creation
After mastering the basics of computer modeling, and learning how to make your character designs move in 3D space, you’ll need to understand how to utilize different effects to add the final level of detail that will bring them to life on screen.
In Game Art classes like Production Modeling and Character Animation you’ll learn the practical application of effects like lighting and shading, and how they can be used to create the illusion of depth with different types of models.
You’ll also study the principles of texturing, and how different physical qualities can affect the look and feel of your characters.
These techniques will build upon the art production techniques you’ve developed throughout the Game Art program – and you’ll apply these new skills to modeling projects where you’ll create real-time 3D characters, landscapes, and in-game objects that incorporate a more sophisticated level of realism.
