Throughout the program, you’ll learn about the new media distribution channels that sports organizations are using to connect with fans and consumers, and determine which channels best suit your product or service. You’ll study the opportunities found in channels such as web 2.0, mobile devices, video games, virtual worlds, web mash-ups, blogs and wikis, email, interactive TV, and podcasting. You’ll also gain a better understanding of how social networks can be employed to create and maintain an online connection with fans, connecting events, branding campaigns, and the media you’ve created.
