Art History

To be able to learn and think in visual terms is a necessity in any branch of the entertainment business, but in order to do so you need to understand the foundations of art and design. In this course, you’ll be introduced to selected monuments of art and architecture in the Western tradition, from the ancient Greeks to the twentieth century. The course features extensive slide lectures accompanied by discussion of assigned readings in philosophical, religious, scientific, political, literary, and artistic texts.
