“Any opportunity I get, I jump at,” Jason Williams says about his diverse trip through the web design industry. “It’s been a ride so far, and with each move I make I’m learning more and more.”
Since graduating from two Full Sail degree programs – Digital Media and Recording Arts – Jason has exercised his skills at top web development companies Mindcomet and .Com Industries, implementing online marketing campaigns and websites for a number of multimillion-dollar clients.
Now as a Senior Web Designer at the Paquin Group, he’s taken on a completely new set of challenges.
The Paquin Group works with healthcare companies to build retail outlets and develop online resources; Jason is in charge of designing e-commerce websites that manage hundreds of thousands of medical products and services.
“At Paquin my work includes implementing a lot of online medical retail, like shopping cart solutions and rewards programs for different major hospitals and care providers throughout the country,” he explains. “I’m the point of contact with those companies, so anything and everything to do with the web, they look at me. It’s a lot of responsibility, but I absolutely love what I’m doing.”
Jason has always been a big proponent of web technology and integration, but his love of retail development even took him by surprise. He now admits that he’s rarely happier at work than with his head buried deep in SEO (search engine optimization) research, banner ads, and email marketing.
“When I graduated Digital Media all I wanted to do was be a great designer,” he explains. “But once I got involved with Internet marketing and saw the power of that knowledge I just immersed myself into every aspect of it. There’s just something about creating a strong marketing campaign in a team environment – seeing what has the highest conversion rate, and playing around with algorithms and search engine optimization. There’s a certain level of self-gratification when you create an approach that works for a client.”
