Few people are watching NBC’s The Voice with as much intensity as Erin Hinojos. That’s because as Artist Management Coordinator at Rock Ridge Music, he has a vested interest in one of its contestants, Tony Lucca. Lucca is one of his artist management clients and Erin would love to see him take top prize.

Erin has a particular passion for helping people succeed in what they love to do probably because he feels so grateful to be doing what he loves to do. “I love my job. It’s exactly what I want to do,” says the Music Business grad, who started working at Rock Ridge Music last November.

“I support social media efforts, funnel press requests through publicists, and help the artists keep their blog content fresh and up to date,” Erin says. “The artists that we work with are talented but also really, really nice people and easy to work with.”

Erin has loved this line of work from the moment he enrolled in Full Sail’s Music Business program in 2009. A few months after his 2010 graduation, he moved to New York City where he juggled several artist assistant internships, including one with Vedette Productions. “I had been crashing on a friend’s floor for 3 months, so it was great to finally be able to afford my own place,” he laughs.

Now at Rock Ridge Music, an indie label based out of Newark, NJ, Erin works closely with artists to keep their business running smoothly – handling show bookings and working with promoters to coordinate and maintain the tour. Oh, and he never misses an episode of The Voice.
