The Crowd Gathers

The Full Sail University Hall of Fame recognizes the extraordinary accomplishments of select Full Sail graduates who have excelled in their career field.

Six new graduates are chosen for the Hall of Fame each year. In order to be considered for induction, grads must have at least ten years of industry experience. More importantly, the alumni must show a passion and dedication for their career that serves a model for future artists and the Full Sail community at large.

The six Hall of Fame grads from 2009's inaugural class were selected out of hundreds of candidates. All Hall of Fame candidates are confirmed by a Full Sail committee of faculty, administrators, and past Hall of Fame inductees.

The inductees' career accomplishments are highlighted at the on-campus Hall of Fame exhibit, which features a 60-foot mixed-media wall that includes video, sound, pictures, and credits of chosen graduates, as well as artifacts and memorabilia from their work in the industry.

The two-hour event included speeches from guests like Florida congressman Alan Grayson, as well as video messages from filmmaker Kevin Smith, recording artist Anthony Hamilton, and National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences President Neil Portnow.

Hall of Fame Wall Unveiling

Following the induction ceremony, the Full Sail Hall of Fame Wall was unveiled by the 2009 inductees. The 60-foot mixed-media wall features a number of installations celebrating the accomplishments of the Hall of Fame alumni, including video, sound, pictures, industry credits, and various artifacts and memorabilia from projects the Hall of Fame graduates have worked on.

Special Performances

Full Sail Live 1, the school's on-campus performing arts venue, was transformed into an intimate club for Hall of Fame guests and their families. The evening also featured a performance from GRAMMY®-winning R&B singer Anthony Hamilton. The Hall of Fame celebration also featured a live performance from 2008 Florida Grammy Showcase winners the Jacob Jeffries Band.

Each Hall of Fame inductee is awarded a "Sailee" - a custom-made, handcrafted trophy with a design inspired by the Douglas DC-3 aircraft in Full Sail's logo.
