Full Sail Named One of 5 Best Music Programs
Rolling Stone Joins Electronic Gaming Monthly and Shift Magazine in naming Full Sail one of the top colleges in the nation.
Rolling Stone magazine recently identified Full Sail as one of the 5 “Best Music Programs” in the country, noting the school’s training in music production, engineering, and show production. The distinction found Full Sail in enviable company, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Berklee College of Music, USC, Oberlin College, and the prestigious Julliard School.
This latest honor, when paired with the previous recognition of Full Sail as one of the “Top 5 Game Design Schools in the World” according to Electronic Gaming Monthly and the #3 “New Media School in the World” (where Full Sail was preceded only by MIT and NYU) by Shift Magazine, solidifies Full Sail’s position as one of the nation’s top colleges.
Being recognized for the quality of Full Sail’s audio education is a particular source of pride for educators like Bill Smith, Full Sail’s Program Director for Recording Arts, who works hard to make sure that the school offers one of the most comprehensive audio programs in the country. "We are humbled to be honored among such an elite group of schools," says Smith. "This recognition, combined with the success of our graduates at the GRAMMYs and on Academy Award-winning films, is a resounding compliment to the quality of our teaching staff, our curriculum, and Full Sail’s amazing recording studios and labs."
In addition, Full Sail’s music/entertainment business degree was recognized as one of the three best in the country, in the recently published college guide book Schools that Rock: The Rolling Stone College Guide.
