Announcing an Online Graphic Design Bachelor's Degree Program
New online program launching in June.
Starting in June, Full Sail University will begin offering an online Graphic Design Bachelor of Science Degree Program. This degree program gives students an in-depth education in the world of graphic design and digital arts, with the convenience and flexibility of online education. From print publishing to package design to websites, the demand for well-designed graphics of all types has never been so high, and Full Sail's Graphic Design Bachelor's Degree Program prepares students to enter the industry with the ability to create high-quality design, regardless of the medium.
The Graphic Design Bachelor of Science Degree Online Program was designed using much of the same curriculum as our acclaimed Digital Arts & Design Bachelor’s Degree. This unique program will focus on industry-standard concepts including storytelling, typography, page layout, and corporate branding. Students will put these concepts into practice within the various courses of this degree by producing their own high-end design projects for a variety of formats including print, web, and video.

“The skills that we teach on campus translate very easily to our online platform, mainly because the course projects and objectives for this program are obviously very visual,” says Eric Rosenfeld, Program Manger for Graphic Design. “A designer’s job is to communicate ideas and concepts visually, and I think that’s a big reason that our curriculum is so conducive to the online format.”
Students will focus on key design concepts such as Design & Art Theory, Color Theory, and Digital Storytelling. They’ll also sharpen their design skills by working in media that are prevalent in today’s design industry and studying graphic design for the web, flash media, and computer graphics. By learning additional skills in areas such as customer relations, copyright law, and intellectual property, students will be able to broaden their opportunities for a variety of positions in the industry.
“The advantage of this online degree is that we are teaching students how to apply their design skills in so many different elements of the design industry,” says Rosenfeld. “While a student in a more traditional design program enters this business having to try to figure out how to apply their particular skill set within the industry, we’re covering every facet of it within our courses.”
