Announcing an Online Music Business Bachelor’s Program
New online degree to launch in June.
Starting in June, Full Sail University will begin offering an online Music Business Bachelor of Science Degree Program. Building and expanding on the success of Full Sail’s campus Music Business program, this degree offers an in-depth look at the multiple aspects of the business and how its most successful players are adapting to the changes that have affected the industry over the past few years.
From tour managers, label employees, and promoters to merchandisers, publishers, lawyers, and accountants, talented and versatile behind-the-scenes figures in the music industry have always been a key component in some of the business’s biggest successes. And as the dynamics of the industry continue to evolve, the need for these skilled individuals is greater than ever.

“Expanding a program like Full Sail’s Music Business Bachelor’s degree onto our online platform really came out of the demand from students who want the Full Sail education, but for one reason or another aren’t able to leave their lives and move down here to Florida,” says Luis Garcia, Vice President of Full Sail Online. “We’re very proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish with our online programs, and we’re going to continue to uphold that same amount of care and quality into our new degrees.”
The Online Music Business Bachelor of Science Degree Program offers the same real world education that Full Sail University has made a staple of its curriculum for the past 30 years. This unique program will focus on business concepts such as law, management, marketing, and distribution, all within the context of the music industry. Students will also study more music industry-specific topics such as record label development, music merchandising and retail promotions, music copyright and publishing, and artist management.
