Superman Returns finally blasts into theaters this week, much to the delight of eager DC Comic fans. The infamous Man of Steel has returned to Earth after an extended visit to his destroyed home planet, Krypton, to once again save the world and try to reclaim the woman that he loves. With newcomer Brandon Routh in his first major role, Superman Returns comes back in style with a solid cast that includes Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor and Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane, as well as James Marsden and Parker Posey.

Meanwhile, Meryl Streep has had a busy year. Starring in A Prairie Home Companion and the soon to be released Ant Bully, Streep once again graces the silver screen as hellish fashion maven in The Devil Wears Prada. Based on the best selling first novel by Lauren Weisberger, Devil is an almost-true story of life on the inside at fictitious fashion bible Runway.
