Full Sail University (www.fullsail.edu) would like to congratulate its 13 graduates that worked on this year’s Game of the Year winner at the 2010 SPIKE Video Game Awards, Red Dead Redemption. The awards aired live from Los Angeles on December 11, 2010, and were hosted by film and TV star, Neil Patrick Harris.
Including Red Dead Redemption, Full Sail graduates worked on all 5 out of 5 games that were nominated for Game of the Year. Rounding out the nominees were Call of Duty: Black Ops, God of War III, Halo: Reach, and Mass Effect 2. In total, 41 graduates were credited on 19 nominated projects at the 2010 SPIKE Video Game Awards.
“Full Sail is honored to celebrate the dedication and passion required to create award-winning games for audiences to enjoy,” said Rob Catto, Program Director of Game Studies. “It is with great pride that we stand alongside our numerous alumni and congratulate them on their contribution to projects that were nominated for VGA awards this year, and we look forward to the projects they will share with us in the future.”
Of other winning titles handed out at the 2010 SPIKE Video Game Awards, Full Sail University graduates worked on Best Xbox 360 Game: Mass Effect 2; Best PS3 Game: God of War III; Best Shooter: Call of Duty: Black Ops; Best RPG: Mass Effect 2; Best Multi-Player: Halo: Reach; Best Individual Sports Game: Tiger Woods PGA 11; Best Original Score: Red Dead Redemption; Best Graphics: God of War III; and Best Downloadable Content: Red Dead Redemption.
