You’ve come up with an original idea – now you need to make sure that you can protect the fruits of your labor. This course examines trade secrets, trademarks, patents, and copyrights within the entertainment business. You’ll gain insight to acquisition, licensing, sale, and transfer of rights as they relate to music, digital media, animation, gaming, film, and show production. You’ll also compare and contrast the rights and issues affiliated with independent contractors and work-for-hire employees.
