The following list is just a small taste of the possible positions that may be open to you as you advance your education and your career.

As you develop your skills and find your niche, you may find that your career fits perfectly into one of these categories, or you may move outside these boundaries – either way, Full Sail's objective is to help you find your way into a fulfilling career doing what you love.


  • Artist Manager
    • Responsible for overall career direction of entertainment client. Handles a variety of duties, including negotiating all business decisions, including contractual, promotional, and creative matters, personal appearances, and product promotion.
  • Artist Relations
    • Listens to artist demos, attends shows, and keeps up with entertainment trends. Secures new talent and facilitates artist development.
  • Booking Agent
    • Helps an artist book single performances or a tour. Works with local promoters and artist’s management team on all tour-related details.
  • Tour Manager
    • Takes care of most on-tour production decisions, including coordinating location media events, travel accommodations and management communications.
  • Publishing and Distribution
    • Prepares and issues entertainment media material for distribution to the masses. Can also market and sell side merchandise in addition to the primary product.
  • Promoter
    • Responsible for promoting and ensuring profitability of live music and entertainment events. Secures talent, venue, local labor, local advertising and marketing, and makes sure artist’s needs are provided for during the event.
  • Publicity
    • Writes and distributes press materials, arranges media interviews and video shoots, coordinates launch parties and promotional events, and assists in the development of a company’s or artist’s overall public relations plan.
  • Special Events Coordinator
    • Plans and handles production details for entertainment events that promote a particular organization. In charge of selecting talent and crew for the event.
