Full Sail University Joins Special Olympics for State Summer Games



WINTER PARK, FL, May 14, 2009 – On Saturday, May 16, Full Sail University (www.fullsail.edu), an award winning media institution located near Orlando, FL will join Special Olympics Florida (www.specialolympicsflorida.org) for their State Summer Games to be held at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex.

Nearly 50 Full Sail University students, staff and faculty will support the athletes in the game of soccer, and continue their campus-wide community relations’ efforts throughout the Central Florida area. In addition to the on-site volunteer work, Full Sail students will also be completing a series of video pieces for Special Olympics Florida to be used for marketing and promotional purposes.

“We are very proud to partner with Special Olympics Florida and help support their mission and tremendous service to empower their athletes,” said Stacy O’Mara, Director of Professional Development, Full Sail University. “It is wonderful for our staff, students and faculty to work together within the Central Florida area and give back in any way that is possible, and Full Sail is fortunate to work with such a tremendous charitable organization within our local community.”
