WINTER PARK, FL, June 18, 2009 – Full Sail University (
www.fullsail.edu) Web Design & Development Bachelor of Science Degree student, Bryan Berger, was recently recognized by Adobe for developing the Adobe AIR application, zFlick (
www.zflick.net), a desktop Flickr application that was selected by Adobe to be on the Adobe AIR Marketplace.
22 year-old Berger found his way to Full Sail after working in the industry doing web and print design for portfolio, business, and corporate clients in New York. Equally passionate for both design and code, Bryan decided to further his education by coming to Full Sail for the
Web Design & Development Degree.
The 21-month Web Design & Development Bachelor of Science Degree teaches students industry-standard disciplines such as interface design and usability, web standards, Flash/ActionScript 3.0, client side scripting, server side scripting and mobile device deployment, which provides students with the skills needed to succeed in the industry.
Designed during the Web Design & Development course,
Deployment of Flash Projects, zFlick is a cross-platform application that brings Flickr to your desktop. With a well designed, easy-to-use interface that includes many tools such as auto-updating, drag-n-drop saving, and direct access to Flickr pages of each image,
zFlick works on the principle of providing users with the most unique and interesting pictures.
“I have always loved art and design, so when I found out that I could make it interactive, naturally, I was excited,” said Berger. “Being able to learn from industry professionals at Full Sail University allowed me to turn Flickr into a more accessible desktop application.”
