It’s the 30th anniversary of the Florida Film Festival, and Full Sail is continuing its longstanding relationship with the event. Full Sail has been involved with the festival for 24 years, and the school is returning as its primary sponsor for the 18th consecutive year.

The Florida Film Festival is an Oscar-qualifying festival that brings current, independent, and international movies to the Enzian Theater in Maitland. Audiences have the opportunity to watch the festival’s 160 films at the theater, or they can stream the selections at home with a virtual pass.

Students can hear from industry pros at home during the festival’s Virtual Filmmaker Forums. Full Sail’s Education Director of Visual Arts, Rick Ramsey, is also moderating a timely forum called “Filming in the Time of COVID-19” at the Enzian on Thursday, April 5 at 1 PM. The panel will discuss the policies and protocols that help filmmakers safely create new stories during the pandemic.

The festival takes place April 9-22. Tickets are available on the festival’s website.
