Full Sail University's Alumni Relations team recently hosted some exciting opportunities for alumni to find other Full Sail grads in their area through local alumni mixers.

The mixers provide alumni with a chance to both expand their career network and find fellow industry professionals in their city. Attendees also received Full Sail alumni swag and had the opportunity to participate in several raffles to win prizes. Every event is unique to the area, and previous mixers have been held in Austin, Texas, Nashville, Tennessee, and Orlando, Florida.

Our alumni network is so strong now – with 100,000 graduates behind us – and we have so many leaders in the industries that we serve."

The latest mixer was hosted in Seattle, Washington in July at Redhook Brewlab, where over 60 West Coast grads gathered for a fun night of food, drinks, and networking.

The grads reminisced about their time at Full Sail and shared where their education has led them, building connections between both recent grads and seasoned professionals. The event was also open to online graduates, who may not have had a previous opportunity to meet their classmates in person. Grads were grouped by industry – so alumni in the same fields, but from different graduation years – had the chance to mingle and connect with one another. Several Full Sail Hall of Fame inductees attended as well, sharing their own Full Sail experiences.

“There’s nothing like meeting people face to face,” says Director of Alumni Relations Sherri Tantleff. “Our alumni network is so strong now – with 100,000 graduates behind us – and we have so many leaders in the industries that we serve. [Giving these grads] the opportunity to interact with each other and support their alumni family is so gratifying and important.”
