WWE Shoots Content for Netflix at Full Sail
Students and grads worked with WWE’s production team in Studio V1 to help produce content for RAW Classics and Road to WrestleMania.

Full Sail University recently lent its virtual production studio, Studio V1, to its longtime partners at WWE to film segments for their Netflix series WWE RAW Classics, a countdown of the most unforgettable moments in the series’ 30-year span, as well as for the Road to WrestleMania series.
“WWE has always been considered best in class in creating and delivering its content around the globe, and they viewed Studio V1 as a chance to work with us to develop this content in a cutting-edge way for their fans around the globe,” says John P. Saboor, Executive Director and Head of Partnerships at Full Sail.
Hosted by WWE superstar Big E, RAW Classics shares the history of RAW with audiences old and new as the series has moved to Netflix in 2025. The first round of production took place on campus in August. More than a dozen Full Sail students and graduates worked alongside faculty and the creative team at WWE in lighting, audio, camera, and production assistant roles on set.
Students on the production maintained professionalism and got hands-on industry experience working with Big E and the WWE team to bring the RAW atmosphere to life on the studio’s massive 40-foot-wide LED wall.
The WWE team returned to Full Sail's Studio V1 in October to shoot additional content for RAW Classics as well as new material for Road to WrestleMania.

"Once again, WWE provided an opportunity for our students to gain 'real-world experience' in being able to participate alongside their professional production crew to assist in creating this content," says John. "Because of WWE and the leadership of [Full Sail's Education Director of Visual Arts] Rick Ramsey and his team, nearly 20-plus students had the chance to add to their portfolio of experience gained here at Full Sail."
“I’m a big believer that you never stop learning, and I feel we’ve learned so much from the students. I hope it has been a reciprocal thing,” shares Dan Pucherelli, Vice President of Alternative Content with WWE. “We really want to bring our global audience to the shows as they remember them, and the technology in Studio V1 allowed us to do that.
“Studio V1 is state-of-the-art and this is the trend. This is where all production is going, it’s a meld of digital and practical and that was our vision from the start," Dan continues. "We couldn’t find where to do this and execute our vision, but working with John made it easy to take that leap… the timing was right to reconnect with Full Sail and explore the opportunities.”
Full Sail, whose partnership with WWE has spanned 13 years and countless career opportunities for students looking to work in entertainment and live production, was thrilled to have WWE return with new opportunities for students on campus.
“For over 13 years, WWE has been committed to creating amazing opportunities for our students and grads to work with one of the world’s most iconic sports and entertainment brands,” says John. “Innovation is at the core of their DNA, and we are proud to have a partner that has provided so many of our students and grads the chance to innovate alongside them and have an opportunity to learn and participate in leading industry practices and trends.”
