About This Program

Students in the Business certificate program explore the fundamentals of business, management, and marketing. The program focuses on basic business law – contracts, legal entities, and liability – as well as how to collect and analyze data to inform business decisions.

Along the way, students will learn how to create a digital portfolio to represent their professional skills and showcase samples of their work.

COURSE HIGHLIGHTS

Business Management - Students will learn about performance management, team management, and leadership in a business environment.

Data Analysis & Reporting ‐ Course topics include working with formulas and functions, formatting spreadsheets for effective analysis, creating charts, selecting appropriate chart types, and analyzing entertainment-business data.

Business Law ‐ Students will study the laws protecting intellectual property in relation to protecting their own work and legally incorporating the works of others.
