About This Program

The Computer Science certificate program equips students with a fundamental understanding of computer science through problem solving and programming languages. Using industry-standard practices, students explore algorithms, logic, functions, and control flow. This program focuses on hands-on projects that expand critical-thinking skills, teamwork, and creativity in development.

COURSE HIGHLIGHTS

Discrete Mathematics ‐ Students will explore propositional and symbolic logic, sets and relations, sequences, functions, algorithms, matrices, number theory, combinatorics, probability, and Boolean algebra.

Programming - This course covers fundamental computer science and programming topics such as algorithms, software problem solving, input/output, control flow, functions, object-oriented programming, and references.

Systems Programming ‐ Students will be introduced to the core OOP concepts of inheritance, encapsulation, interfaces, abstract classes, and polymorphism.
