Devan Renea

After graduating from her third Full Sail University degree program, Devan was accepted into the Emmys' prestigious Television Academy Foundation Internship Program. She was later brought on as the assistant to the showrunner on shows from the Oprah Winfrey Network, and has worked as a writer’s assistant for DC Universe, as well as a writer’s assistant on Freeform. Devan was a writer and script coordinator in the writers’ room of the critically acclaimed Hulu limited series, Mike. Devan’s other credits include work on the NAACP award-winning series Queen Sugar, produced by Oprah Winfrey and Ava DuVernay; the Saturn-award winning CW series Stargirl; and Freeform’s Teen Choice Award-nominated series Famous in Love. She is the CEO of Boss Up Productions, a multi- platform production company. Devan also previously presided as the board Co-Chair/President of Black Employees at WB and is a screenwriting instructor for nonprofit organizations including Kids in the Spotlight, the Hurston Wright Foundation, and Empowher Institute. In addition to writing, Devan is also an acclaimed producer and director; her latest film, Village Treasures, is an official selection of the 2024 Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles.
