Jordan “DJ Swivel” Young

Producer, Songwriter, Mix Engineer; Founder & CEO | Hooky

Jordan "DJ Swivel" Young turned a passion for audio into the career he had always dreamed of, working for some of the music industry's biggest names as a recording and mix engineer.

Just seven months after graduating Full Sail, Jordan was working with rapper Fabolous on the chart-topping From Nothin' to Somethin' album. He's been working with major label artists ever since, including Beyoncé, Jay Z, Monica, Rihanna, Mary J. Blige, Nelly, and Jamie Foxx.

In 2010 Jordan became Beyonce's personal engineer, working on her fourth studio album and mixing the I Am…World Tour DVD that was certified Double Platinum. In 2013, he completed work on two critically acclaimed projects, Jay Z's Magna Carta: Holy Grail and Beyoncé's chart-topping self-titled album. He recently worked with electronic duo The Chainsmokers, whose hit single "Closer" reached #1 on iTunes and #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, and at 2018's Spotify Secret Genius Awards, Swivel was honored to win in the Secret Genius: Dance category.

Jordan is also the founder and CEO of Hooky, an AI-powered music startup that puts artists in the front seat and in control of who uses their voice to create the next generation of hits, legally.

I end up wearing a lot of hats. I spent the first ten years of my career defining myself by the music I’ve made and the artists I’ve worked with. Now, I’m looking at the next ten years as an opportunity to impact the industry in different ways.”
