$50,000 in Scholarship Funds Awarded to Students through Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute and Full Sail University Collaboration

Full Sail University and the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute are proud to announce that five Full Sail students within the university’s collegiate-level esports team, Full Sail Armada, have been awarded scholarship funds for a total of $50,000 combined during the university’s annual Hall of Game event. This esports event serves as the official kick-off of the institution’s week-long university-wide Hall of Fame celebration.

Being able to award these scholarships during such an uplifting and celebratory community event like Hall of Game makes this moment all the more special.”

“The scholarship initiative is an important feature of this partnership,” said Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute President Carlos Carrasco. “In collaboration with Full Sail University, we want to support these esports athletes in any way we can, whether it’s taking care of their health needs or providing resources to further their education.”

Following the naming rights partnership between Orlando Health and Full Sail University in 2021, the university’s on campus esports arena formerly known as “The Fortress” was named the Full Sail University Orlando Health Fortress. A key component of the multi-year partnership is the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute Esports Scholarship, which distributes $50,000 of scholarship funds each year.

“Collaborating alongside our partners at the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute to select these five Full Sail Armada athletes to be honored and awarded scholarship funds has showcased our joint commitment to our student’s educational and professional pursuits,” said Sari Kitelyn, Director of Esports at Full Sail University. “Being able to award these scholarships during such an uplifting and celebratory community event like Hall of Game makes this moment all the more special.”
