The Grammy Awards are a huge night for the music industry’s hottest artists, and it’s a night that rewards hard working creatives like engineers, mixers, producers, and more. Full Sail grads make regular appearances in the credits of Grammy-nominated and winning projects, and plenty of alumni worked on this year’s nominees for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and others. At the 64th annual Grammy Awards, 46 graduates were credited on 60 nominated projects in 44 categories, and seven grads were nominated by name for their own Grammys.

Among the grads recognized with nominations for their own Grammys, Full Sail Hall of Fame inductee Josh Gudwin received three nominations for his work on Record of the Year nominee, “Peaches” by Justin Bieber (Mixer, Engineer, Vocal Engineer), Album of the Year nominee Justice (Triple Chucks Deluxe) by Justin Bieber (Composer, Lyricist, Mixer, Recording Engineer), and Best Engineered Album – Non-Classical nominee Cinema by The Marías (Mixing). Grad Colin Leonard also received three nominations for his contributions to “Peaches” (Mastering), Justice (Triple Chucks Deluxe) (Mastering Engineer), and Album of the Year nominee Back of My Mind by H.E.R. (Mastering Engineer).

Grad Jeremy Lertola was nominated for his work on Justice (Triple Chucks Deluxe) (Engineer, Vocal Engineer); Micah Pettit also clinched a nomination for his work on Justice (Triple Chucks Deluxe) (Recording Engineer). Anthony Cruz and Miki Tsutsumi both received a nomination for their engineering work on H.E.R.’s Back of My Mind. Tyler Sheppard rounded out the list of individually nominated grads with a nod for his work as a Recording Engineer on Album of the Year nominee Planet Her (Deluxe) by Doja Cat.

Beyond these alumni nominated for their own Grammys, dozens more Full Sail grads worked in a wide range of roles on projects spanning multiple genres. Brendan Morawski was an engineer on Positions by Ariana Grande, which was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album, and Taylor Pollert was an engineer and assistant orchestra engineer for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album nominee A Holly Dolly Christmas by Dolly Parton. Hall of Fame inductee Leslie Brathwaite was a mixer on “Up” by Cardi B, which was nominated for Best Rap Performance. Eric Manco served as a vocal engineer on Best Rap Album nominee Certified Lover Boy by Drake, while Jason Vaughn was a composer on Best R&B Album nominee Heaux Tales by Jazmine Sullivan.

Additional graduates were credited on nominated projects in categories like Best Rock Song, Best Jazz Instrumental Album, Best Contemporary Blues Album, and Best Latin Pop Album.
