Our online curriculum focuses on the creative and technical needs of the professional computer animation industry – offering you an in-depth study of the latest software, design theory, and production techniques used to create 3D computer graphics for feature films, video games, television, and more.
Your education will start by studying the basic theories of digital art – including lighting, physics, and the principles of motion, and how they apply to different animation mediums. Further classes will build on that foundation by teaching the processes of advanced animation development, from character design and rigging to compositing and scene finishing. You’ll also learn to create high-end graphics for video games, with classes that teach how to optimize textures and polygons for different hardware.
Near the end of the online degree, you’ll take portfolio creation courses that will help showcase your personal vision and knowledge of different animation techniques to employers.
