“This is where fashion meets philanthropy,” said Vice Mayor Sheila DeCiccio as she introduced the 2024 Winter Park Fashion Show, hosted recently at the Full Sail Live venue.

The show saw a lively turnout as more than 100 attendees came out to support the Central Florida community. Several local boutiques and designers were featured on the catwalk, such as The Grove and The Mall at Millenia, and there were performances from a dance crew and shoutouts to patrons who donated and supported the show. All donated proceeds were given to this year’s charity partner, One Heart for Women and Children, a local nonprofit organization.

The event also utilized the talents of many students across many different fields of study. Students were able to work alongside industry professionals to help execute the event, operating broadcast cameras, setting up and helping to organize the event, interviewing high-profile attendees, and more. Program director Eric Rosenfeld oversaw students as they designed animations for the show, which were projected onto screens throughout the duration of the event.

“A group of highly talented digital arts and design students created a series of animations for the event,” explained Eric. “These animations are designed to add interest and flair to an already exciting event. The students utilized Adobe After Effects and Maxon Cinema 4D to create both 2D and 3D animations.”
