Full Sail Hosts Career Fair on Campus
On February 12, more than 400 students and grads gathered at Full Sail’s Career Fair.

On February 12, more than 400 soon-to-be-grads and alumni of Full Sail University attended the Career Fair at the Full Sail Live venue. The event, which included industry presentations, workshops, open career advising, and more, was facilitated by staff members from Full Sail’s Career Development department.
More than 30 employers were at the Career Fair, with tables set up and staff representatives ready to talk to attendees about potential job opportunities. Employers included Orange County Government, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, the Army, and more, as well as companies in industries such as film, gaming, audio, and live events. Their job openings included writers, camera operators, audio engineers, graphic designers, web designers, and many more.
The in-person interaction students and grads get to have with hiring companies can be significantly helpful in the job search. Attendees can ask questions, learn about the companies in greater detail, and imagine what their careers could look like.
Staff members of Career Development do their best to create an event where students have the chance to meet potential employers and see what job opportunities are out there, all with the goal of helping propel students into a career path they can be proud of.
“I hope they walk away with the experience of actually seeing employers face-to-face,” said Jamey Hopper, the Employer Development Manager in Career Development. “It's a rare opportunity. It's getting more and more rare, because you're not just sending your resume. It’s one room, 30-plus employers. You make your opportunity when you go up and look them in the face.”
