Audiences returned to movie theaters in droves during the summer of 2023. Huge hits like Barbie and Oppenheimer smashed box office records, while superhero fans flocked to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Full Sail grads worked on those films and more during summer’s blockbuster season.

The dual release of Barbie and Oppenheimer made “Barbenheimer” weekend a major event – and both films had Full Sail alumni in the credits. Grads like Sara Eliza Argens (Film, Production Assistant) and Conner Wessinger (Computer Animation, Lighting/Lookdev Artist) helped bring the Kenergy to Barbie. Oppenheimer also had help from Full Sail grads; Chris Fogel (Recording Arts, Music Recorder & Mixer) and Gary A. Rizzo (Recording Arts, Re-recording Mixer) helped craft the sound for the epic film.

Sixteen grads worked on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Christopher Mullins (Digital Media and Film, Animator) and Alex Bonacci (Computer Animation, Visualization Artist) assisted with the movie’s visual effects. Film grad Amir R. Khan was the film’s Key Second Assistant Director and Recording Arts grad Jamison Rabbe helped out as an ADR Mixer.

Haunted Mansion, the latest adaption of Disney World’s popular attraction, had 20 Full Sail alumni in the credits. Tess Marshall (Film Production, Visual Effects Production Coordinator), Devin Fairbarin (Computer Animation, Layout Artist), and Nevin Seus (Recording Arts, Music Editor) contributed to the flick’s spooky ambience.

Nine Full Sail graduates worked on sci-fi mystery They Cloned Tyrone. Computer Animation grads Rabi Basir (VFX Production Assistant) and Dave Isaac Santos Abuel (Senior Compositor), as well as Film grads Skylar Nichols (Production Assistant) and Daniel Linge (Dailies Producer) were credited on the distinctive release.

Additional Full Sail graduates appeared in the credits of The Little Mermaid, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Elemental, The Flash, and more.
