Full Sail Hosts Big Game Celebration for Students
On Sunday, February 9, students came together on campus to watch the finale of the NFL Playoffs.

On February 9, Full Sail University students gathered in the Full Sail Live venue to watch the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs battle it out on the field in the culmination of the NFL playoffs. Faculty and staff members from the Sports Marketing & Media and Sportscasting bachelor’s degrees facilitated the event. Their goal was to create a space where students could gather and connect with each other, while at the same time enjoy the competitive spirit of the biggest football game of the year.
Attendees congregated around tables to enjoy complimentary pizza and beverages provided by staff and faculty. Many wore jerseys to show support for the team they were rooting for, and in friendly competition, students cheered for their teams as the game progressed. Party games like cornhole, giant Jenga, and oversized Connect Four were also available for students to enjoy, as well as a photo booth with game day-themed props for students to capture their Big Game Celebration moment. During commercial breaks, student hosts took the stage to engage with the crowd and announce giveaways for prizes including a Topgolf gift card, Universal Orlando tickets, and a Steam Deck.
The Program Director for Sports Marketing & Media and Game Business & Esports, RaeLynn McAfee, shared: “The Big Game Celebration allows us to bring students together to foster community and connection. It’s a chance to unwind, engage with peers, and enjoy the excitement of the Big Game — and the commercials of course! All while [students] are also participating in interactive activities, giveaways, and experiences that make campus life more memorable.”
