Full Sail University recently hosted the Orlando Innovation League’s 10th anniversary and networking event, bringing together like-minded individuals for a night of celebration and connection. The Orlando Innovation League was founded a decade ago by Rajiv Menon as an online meet-up group to discuss innovation methodology and, a decade later, has since blossomed into the vast community of inspired entrepreneurs that it is today.

Since its inception, the OIL has served as a catalyst for innovation in Central Florida, connecting founders, investors, mentors, and aspiring entrepreneurs."

“Our mission is to spread the gospel of innovation,” said Rajiv. “We believe that if you know how to do innovation methodology the right way, then it can benefit the entire economy. Anyone who’s working in tech or non-tech can apply innovation methodology, and, over the years, we’ve worked primarily with students and folks starting out in their career. It’s all about people learning from each other.”

The event consisted of guided networking, during which attendees could both offer advice to fellow innovators or seek guidance from their peers, high-profile speakers, and a panel discussing the OIL and its many contributions to the community over the last decade. Many Full Sail students and alumni were in attendance, as well.

“Since its inception, the OIL has served as a catalyst for innovation in Central Florida, connecting founders, investors, mentors, and aspiring entrepreneurs,” said Haifa Maamar, Full Sail’s Executive Director for Emerging Technologies. “As they celebrate their tenth anniversary next week, we at Full Sail University are honored to host this important event and look forward to collaborating with the OIL on future initiatives that empower our students and drive progress and innovation in the community.”
