This past summer, four Full Sail graduates were hired to work on the Vans Warped Tour in various positions. Two of those grads included New Media Journalism Master’s alum Maggie Ward and Show Production alum Ashley Parker.

Maggie took photos and video for the Absolute Voices network of websites, which includes PropertyOfZack and AbsolutePunk.net, and on top of that, wrote weekly blog entries for us at FullSailBlog.com about tour life. Ashley was the Assistant Stage Manager for the Acoustic Basement presented by Full Sail University, where she spent her days setting up the stage and mixing live performances.

The two girls’ paths to Warped Tour couldn’t be any more opposite: Maggie had never been to a concert before and had never heard of any of the bands, while Ashley grew up a fan of most of the musicians on tour and knew from the start this was a dream gig for her. But they both ended up learning a lot and having some great experiences on the road. Check out our video profiles of each of them below.
