Last week, the Game Awards 2014 celebrated what turned out to be a great year in gaming by honoring the best offerings of the year. Full Sail grads were well represented among the nominees. 35 grads were credited on 16 nominated projects, and Full Sail celebrated by hosting a live viewing party on campus. Four of those 16 projects went on to win awards, bringing the total number of grads who worked on winning projects to 18.

Game of the Year went to action role-playing game Dragon Age: Inquisition, the third installment in the Dragon Age franchise. The game took home two awards, as did the popular online first person sci-fi game Destiny, which garnered the award for Best Online Experience and Best Score/Soundtrack. Nintendo took home the prize for Developer of the Year, and Trey Parker of South Park fame won Best Performance.
