Dozens of Grads Credited on 2025 Latin Grammy Nominees
Full Sail grads contributed to nominated projects in categories like Album of the Year and Record of the Year, and eight grads were nominated for their own Latin Grammys.
The Latin Grammys are a celebration of the best in Latin music, and graduates from Full Sail are often in the credits of both nominated and winning projects. For the 2025 Latin Grammys, grads contributed to nominated projects in categories like Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop/Rock Album, and more. Overall, 28 graduates were credited on 57 nominated projects in 37 categories, with eight graduates nominated by name for 17 Latin Grammy awards.
Recording Arts grads Colin Leonard (Mastering Engineer) and Josh Gudwin (Mixing Engineer) were nominated for multiple Latin Grammys for their work with Bad Bunny. Both grads were nominated in the Record of the Year category for the songs “BAILE INoLVIDABLE” and “DtMF”; they also received nominations in Album of the Year for Bad Bunny’s DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.
Other grads who received individual nominations include Felipe Bernel (Mixing Engineer), who was nominated in Record of the Year and Album of the Year for his work with CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso, and Felipe Tichauer (Mastering Engineer), who received nods in the Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best Engineered Album categories for his contributions to Liniker’s music.
Grad Martin Vargas’ band Morat was nominated in the Best Pop/Rock Album category, while Music Production alum Yorghaki Yacoub was nominated in Best Urban Fusion/Performance for the single “Capaz.” Alumni like songwriter Orlando Vitto and Cesar Sanchez were also nominated in the categories Best Pop/Rock Song and Best Folk Album, respectively.
Additional grads were credited on even more nominated projects. Recording Arts grad Paulo Uribe was an Assistant Engineer on “En La City” by Trueno featuring Young Miko, which was nominated in the Best Urban Song category. Hector Castillo worked as a Recording Sound Engineer on Vivir Quintana’s Cosas Que Sorprenden a la Audiencia, which was nominated for Best Singer-Songwriter Album, David Segura was a Producer on DannyLux’s Leyenda, a nominee in the Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album category, and Arthur Luna was a Mixing/Mastering Engineer on "Um Vento Passou" by Milton Nascimento, Esperanza Spalding, and Paul Simon.
Grads also appeared in the credits for projects in categories like Best Roots Song, Best Latin Jazz Album, Best Contemporary Tropical Album, and more.
