The Full Sail Live venue hosted the EA Madden NFL ’25 Pro Bowl Head to Head Challenge in January as part of this year’s NFL Pro Bowl Week events in Orlando.

Four players who were selected to play in the 2025 NFL Pro Bowl and eight social media content creators competed in the AFC vs. NFC esports matchup, playing Madden NFL 25. Los Angeles Chargers safety Derwin James and Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. represented the AFC squad, while the NFC team included Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons and Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson. Each team also had four social media content creators. The AFC team came out on top, 22-13, marking its first victory in the history of the competition. The points won in this event went toward the total points for the Pro Bowl game held on February 2.

Being able to work over the last several months with EA has generated so many opportunities and positive outcomes for our students & grads."

The esports event was livestreamed on the NFL YouTube Channel and Twitch. ABC/ESPN also aired a segment highlighting the competition during the game broadcast.

The event offered paid positions to several Full Sail students and grads to work alongside the EA Sports production team. They got hands-on experience with setup, camera operating, audio, and lighting.

“Everyone was so impressed with the students and grads who participated, as well as the amazing Full Sail Events team who helped to put our collective best foot forward,” said John Saboor, Executive Director, Head of Partnerships at Full Sail. “This was another signature moment and important building block in this amazing and growing relationship with EA.”

The Pro Bowl event came on the heels of Full Sail’s campus hosting a few events in the Madden NFL 25 Championship Series last September.

“Being able to work over the last several months with EA has generated so many opportunities and positive outcomes for our students & grads. Partnerships with world-class brands like EA who can offer our students real-world experience and involvement on signature projects like this is part of Full Sail’s DNA,” John added.
