‘PC Gamer’ Highlights Full Sail Student Games
PCGamer.com recently recognized two games created by Full Sail students in their weekly column highlighting the best free PC games on the Internet.
Both Fender Bender and Retirement Roundup were developed by students from Black Box Studios for the Game Project Final Presentations back in May. Fender Bender is an arena-based vehicular combat game that requires players to drive a vehicle through Mayhem Mountain and Chaos Cavern, as they collect weapons and power-ups they’ll need when they challenge their opponents to battle. Retirement Home Roundup puts players into the shoes of Tex Rustington, who is dedicated to safely escorting retirement home residents onto their bus while dodging the dangerous obstacles that pop up along the way.
PCGamer.com commended Roundup for “a knowing sense of humor that runs through the game,” and praised Fender Bender for being “a whole load of fun.”
“Both of those teams did a really great job in Game Project. They only have five months to create these games, and both teams worked really hard from start to finish,” says Gaming Project Producer Liam Hislop. “We were super excited to see both teams on the PC Gamer website and are glad that the rest of the PC gaming world gets to share these gems.”
