She’s worked at industry powerhouses Clair Brothers and House of Blues, and she’s also mixed front of house sound for a wide variety of acclaimed artists, including Arturo Sandoval, KRS-One, Ron Carter, and Bilal. Her role as front-of-house mixer for Grammy-winning jazz artist Christian McBride has spanned more than a decade, taking her to iconic venues all over the globe, including the National Jazz Museum in Harlem, as well as production on McBride's SiriusXM show, "The Lowdown: Conversations with Christian." Fela serves as a mentor for young women in audio with SoundGirls.org, and when not on the road, she's recording and creating new projects for her own businesses: 23dB Productions and One of One Productions Studio. 23dB specializes in live recording, producing original music, podcasts, and creating video and social media content for businesses (Focusrite, OWC, Lewitt, etc). The studio also specializes in podcast recording and is home to The Art of Music Tech, a podcast which Fela hosts with her 23dB business partner, Denis Orynbekov.
