After a full year in partnership, Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute and Full Sail University reflect on joint impact on the community.

Full Sail University is honored to celebrate 1-year in partnership with Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute, which includes the naming rights to the university's 11,200+ sq ft esports arena, the Full Sail University Orlando Health Fortress.

Throughout the first year of the multi-year partnership, the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute and Full Sail University teams have collaborated on several initiatives that positively impacted both organizations and the Greater Orlando region.

"Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute is led by physicians and customized for athletes. We treat athletes of all abilities and from all backgrounds. We recognize the power and value that esports brings to the sports community. We have enjoyed working with Full Sail University and look forward to our opportunities for growth and development in the future," stated Jackie Hayter, Senior Director Sports Partnerships at Orlando Health.

Since the inception of the multi-year partnership, there have been scholarships awarded, community engagement initiatives launched, as well as regional and national events hosted in the Full Sail University Orlando Health Fortress.

  • Scholarships – During Q4 of 2021, the partnership allowed for a total of $50,000 in scholarship funds to be awarded through the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute Esports Scholarship. Additionally, Orlando Health and Full Sail University joined forces to bring awareness against the isolation faced by people with intellectual disabilities at the Race for Inclusion event in October 2021.
