Full Sail Hosts Virtual AI Marketing Summit
At Real-World AI in Marketing: Beyond the Hype, Full Sail faculty members led panels about the benefits, ethics, and practical uses of AI in marketing.
In September, Full Sail faculty members presented Real-World AI in Marketing: Beyond the Hype, a virtual summit for current digital marketing students and graduates with three in-depth sessions focused on the impact of artificial intelligence within marketing. The summit also delved into the various practical applications of artificial intelligence that students may encounter throughout their education and in the job market.
“AI has already become an integral partner for marketers with new and updated AI tools coming out all the time,” explained digital marketing course director Diane Sadler-Diaz. “In a competitive job market, applicants who understand how to integrate these tools into their workflows will have an advantage over those who don’t. And employers will be looking for these up-to-date skills and abilities. So it’s imperative for students to learn as much as they can about a wide variety of AI tools and how they can be applied.”
A group of Full Sail course directors and alumni led the sessions, explaining the ethical challenges associated with artificial intelligence while sharing techniques for using AI tools responsibly and effectively.
In the Dipping or Diving? Your Approach to AI in Your Career (And Life) session, the speakers explained how artificial intelligence is changing the career field and shared the various ways it can be implemented into daily life. During AI Tools, Tips, and Techniques, students explored the practical applications of artificial intelligence in marketing through case studies and live demos. In Real-World Use Cases: Grads Using AI, Full Sail alumni shared the ways they’re using AI in their careers.
To round out the summit, the speakers held a networking and Q&A session, during which students were able to ask for further clarification and speak one-on-one with the panelists about AI and its various uses in the marketing industry and beyond.
